Brand New Casino 2021 – LAS VEGAS – A billion dollar megaresort being developed at the north end of the Strip is becoming the most expensive hotel project ever built.

Malaysia-based Genting Group unveiled an update this week on its Resorts World Las Vegas facility – now expected to open in summer 2021.

The cost of this project, which is scheduled for opening in 2016 at the original site of Stardust, was last estimated at $4 billion. Now it is $4.3 billion.

But with the lost price tag comes new features, according to the company. Here’s a look at the new features announced this week:

Resorts World Las Vegasis has 3,500 rooms and a 110,00 square foot casino, table games and high-end rooms.

Genting Group owns casinos around the world and bought the Las Vegas property from Boyd Gaming for $350 million in 2013.

Boyd had begun building a hotel on the site of the Stardust Casino when the recession hit, the steel and bones of the project still dormant.

Genting originally aimed to target the crowd as an Asian resort – but the company appears to be changing the trend in its luxury hotel experience with “inspired touches Holy Asia.”

Guests also have access to a 220,000-square-foot pool complex with multiple pool experiences – including an 1,800-square-foot infinity pool with views of the strip.

According to the New York Post, Moon World Resorts plans to build moon-themed hotels in Las Vegas, China, Spain and the Middle East. The company plans to build these by 2027.

The 1/75,000 model of the moon includes a 292,011-square-foot “moon tower” on the resort’s floor. A shuttle will take visitors to the top of the moon which is 735 feet tall.

While there is no indication of what the top will be, company co-founder Michael Henderson told the newspaper that it will be “significant.”

The hotel also has space for 6,000 cars and a 500,000 square foot convention center. There is no indication of where the resort will be built in Las Vegas. Illustrations on the company’s website show a large world near Wynn Las Vegas and the Encore Hotel.
